Hi
Just recently moved in with the family in Vaughan, ON, and I wonder if anyone's local that knows about parking? (yea I know, but stay with me, I got the rental car towed the day after landing, didn't spot the little "not between 7-9am" sign!)
We have a rental house in Thornhill woods, it has no driveway, and the car goes in the garage out back, but, I'm also getting a company van.
Can I park in the street outside? there doesn't seem to be any signs indicating not, but I never see any cars on the street overnight either! Then again, most of them are not townhouses, and have driveways..
any ideas?

If there are no signs indicating otherwise I would say there is nothing stopping you from parking on the street in front of your home.
Do remember one thing though, always park facing the right direction, it is illegal in a lot of localities in Canada to park facing the wrong way.
My cousin got a ticket for this in Edmonton a few years ago.
If you feel like wading through, here is a link to the most requested by-laws for the City of Vaughn. http://www.city.vaughan.on.ca/vaugha...ocs/bylaws.cfm there are three that specifically refer to parking.
