Hi all
We're looking to land in Ontario about the end of August once my Wife's intra co transfer docs come through.
I know we have to take out a min 3 month policy for meds until the province care kicks in.
My Wife's company have e-mailed and said that their insurance provider would want a premium of $2500 CAD for this period. Does anyone have any idea whether this is a bit strong?, or any recommendations at all?
cheers
Nick

$2 500CAD seems a tad high.

We have just arranged one months cover for a family of 4 at a cost of $268 CAD through Canadian Blue Cross. The quote of $2500 CAD is way over the top. Shop around.

Are you sure you need cover? I know in NS we were covered as soon as we landed by the provincial scheme. However, we later took out blue cross which cost us around $2200 for a YEAR for a family of 5.

thanks for the replies everyone, I'll check out Blue Cross. I'm pretty sure we need cover initially.
