Re: AOR from London April/May 2011 - Progress updates.

I honestly think they are trying to force us to give up. At best it will be 4 - 5 years since we first applied to a system that was supposed to take 12 months. We were going as a family when we set...

Re: AOR from London April/May 2011 - Progress updates.

Received an e-mail today asking for additional documents. It then went on to say "we do not expect to make a final decision on your application until 2014"............oh, and not to disturb them for...

Re: Docs to London Sept 2010 onwards - anyone got AOR?

Hi,

We have just completed 7 months post AOR. I thought I'd come close to a job offer in the summer but they didn't want to go down the TWP route at that time so we are pretty much resigned to...

Re: car hire

Hi,

We usually use Canadian Affair as they've always been cheaper than going direct to the car rental companies, however I've just found a much better deal for this summer from Budget going...

Re: AOR from London April/May 2011 - Progress updates.

I'm not counting on med requests until well into next year. My NOC code came off the list last June so by what others have received in terms of a response from CIC it may be "two years or longer"...

Re: AOR from London April/May 2011 - Progress updates.

Hi Bal,

We're in this club. AOR at the beginning of April and 'In Process' (whatever that actually means) pretty much straight after but I'm not expecting to hear anything else now until the...

Re: 19 to young to drive/insure on UK licence?

In a strange way it put our mind at rest. We pestered him for ages to make sure he was insured to drive these cars and he kept insisting he was. The fact that the police pulled him over and were okay...

Re: LinkedIn

I agree Chris, I've been on LinkedIn for a little while and know who I want to connect with but I've got some work to do on my resume and my profile before I jump in with both feet.

Re: Barrie Ontario with kids

The lakeside is lovely and there are two or three small parks around it that are popular with families with young children. Each sub division seems to have its own park too and they always look well...

Re: Niagara Falls - Visiting

We've stayed at the Marriott and the Hilton and preferred the Marriott, mainly because the view of the Falls is better. Niagara on the Lake is well worth a visit too.
