Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

Almost there :-) If you read the form carefully for proof of address it requires a bank statement or rental contract. They don't seem to accept a driving licence as proof of address. I personally...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

You seem to be confusing two separate things; the passport application and the evidence of citizenship application. The requirements relating to proof of PR are different for both. For the passport...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

A label in an old passport is not ok. Even if it was in a current passport it would not be ok because the label is out of date.

Your child is a British National. British Citizenship is one of 6...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

Already answered this. You do not have a passport that is acceptable. These are the requirements and they are very clear:

Alternatively, until 31 March 2016, we may accept your parent's foreign...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

No, doesn't have to be British. However, it is stated the application will be processed faster if British or Irish. You can find more details here:

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

I've already told what is needed. You don't seem to have read the documentation to the end. Directly after the text you quoted it says a marriage certificate is not required if the child is born...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

You're not automatically a citizen if born in the UK or Australia; it all depends on the residency and citizenship status of one or both of your parents. They will check your PR, when you request...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

Whether your son is an Australian citizen is not in question. What is in question is proof. You don't have sufficient proof of your PR for the passport office and so the only option left is the...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

No, a birth certificate is not proof of citizenship. Based on some of your other posts you won't have the required passport visa label either.

So, the only choice you have is to get evidence of...

Re: child passport from oz,uk parents on pr

Hi Brian.w, I can answer some of your questions through personal experience.
When applying for a British passport they require details of any other passports and copies of the passports. So you can...

Re: Ozzi Citizen in PNG wanting to return OZ on UK Passport!

Just checking, are you saying you travelled in and out of Australia from 2012-2014 on a British passport, even though you were an Australian citizen (and therefore any visa should have been...

Re: Citizenship Test, Ceremony wait time and traveling overseas

When you say 'they' you presumably mean the airline, not Australian immigration; the airline were making the request. The onus is on the airline to ensure he can enter the destination and obviously...

Re: Citizenship Test, Ceremony wait time and traveling overseas

The issue I am referring to is between the test and approval. Approval is when you get formal confirmation of the paperwork being processed; you are still not a citizen which happens at the ceremony...

Re: Citizenship Test, Ceremony wait time and traveling overseas

What I am saying is that if you follow the requirements, yes you would change you plans and you would do it to try and ensure the process goes through as smoothly as possible. As with the Aus...
