I think you're mixing up being British citizens with holding British passports.

Assuming you are a UK/Australian Dual citizen and were born in the UK, your kids are already UK citizens. No need...

Pretty sure it makes a big difference. UK passport holders can get the working holiday (417) which can be extended to a total of 2 years. US passport holders have to get the Work and Holiday (462)...

Top tip - if the cabin crew see dad struggling with baby, they may well offer to take her off your hands for an hour or two. Worked beautifully for me on SQ. They don't tend to so helpful for mums...

Yes, visa OK until you take the pledge as although you are 'approved' you are not actually a citizen until you take the pledge.

Time varies a lot form city to city - my OH started the process in...
