It probably depends on what you were buying, for example clothes are exempt from sales tax in VT I believe, it's complicated :unsure: and I was wrong it's 7% according to my husband,,,,

Vermont does have a state sales tax it's 6%.

I love all of New England, and feel very settled and at home in Vermont.

I thought you had to have been married to a USC a certain length of time, in order to get citizenship after 3 years as a PR. Otherwise it was 5 years.

That time of year is a bit unpredictable weather wise, could be 70 degrees or might get a foot of snow ;)

I would do route 100 up through VT and visit Middlebury, Montpelier and Burlington, maybe...

I love Vermont, it's beautiful and pretty liberal. I like the town we live in but it is very stratified (as is much of VT). But I hate the cold.
