La Alfolquia/Zurgena area has many Brits who will soon start outnumbering the locals.
Problem also with legalities of some of the new builds. Villages in this area turning into sprawling towns....

Then have dogs tested in Spain before you return. Excellent vets everywhere here and treatment much cheaper (at the moment)

If you are leaving permanently then your pets passport will be issued by your local vet without have the rabies jab tested. This is only for re-entering UK.
Get everything at least 3 weeks before...

Mar Menor is barely 5 mins drive away from airport using the airport slip road so no major roads to cope with.
Should be some accommodation available there and use a taxi service.
