Cowes has a decent Coles for food, clothes are mainly holiday shop stuff, but as mentioned by others Wonthaggi is near (30mins) and has a BigW for cheap clothes, electricals etc and there is a Target...

I'm getting good quotes on single trip to MEL from LHR via HKG (for a few hours) on Cathay from the asda website, but if I use multileg to enforce a stopover of a few days in HKG the cheap fare...

that's cheap around here, and it's totally out of proportion to local wages. Young people can't get on the ladder which is one of the reasons I'm moving to Oz - give my kids the opportunity...
