Re: Vetassess statutory declaration - from uk

If it’s a U.K. stat dec then only a solicitor is needed. If it’s an Australian one, the instructions are on the AG’s website. Basically, you need someone on the list with “a connection to...

Re: Visa options?

1. Your occupation is not eligible for a 186 visa
2. You have covered the basic options. There may be some specific regional locations where there are some concessions on salary available for 482...

Re: permanent partner visa/ resident return

It's not really "grey". If you're outside Australia when your permanent visa expires (the "must not arrive after" date) then your visa has expired and your permanent resident status no longer...

Re: UK Counselling Qualifications recognised in Oz?

Absolutely! You don’t even need to have a job to like in the first place. You may have some geographical restrictions depending on which visa you were granted.

Re: Advice on UK to Tasmania move

‘My advice would be … spend the required time in Tasmania and then you can move north if that is what you still want.

Re: UK Counselling Qualifications recognised in Oz?

You’re not throwing anything away … once you have a visa and arrive in Australia, you can do any job you want, you’re not restricted to the occupation you nominated. If you have solid advice...

Re: Citizenship by Descent for children in UK query?

There’s no difference in the ‘quality’ of the citizenship based on age at application, so I would apply now to get it out the way. The only long term thing to be aware of is that citizenship...

Re: Young family member (UK) to AU - options

3 years on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV) is achievable if the required amount of 'specified work' is undertaken. This requirement may ease, if and when a trade deal is actually signed rather than just...

Re: Visitor Visa Pricing

There's nothing indirect about it; they do not like multiple onshore rollovers of temporary visas and the charge is intended to discourage this. Absent Covid, it would be extremely unlikely that you...

Re: Visitor Visa Pricing

There is no way around this for a subclass 600 visa subsequent application. You could look into a subclass 408 'Covid' visa. There are, though, plenty of flights available out of Australia and no...

Re: Processing time for 461 visa

No - there is absolutely no financial requirement. My view is that it's just a very low priority cohort of applicants as far as the Department is concerned.

It is actually a very 'generous' visa...

Re: Processing time for 461 visa

I'm seeing well over 2 years for onshore renewal 461 applications at the moment. I have no idea why they are taking so long!
