Can I get a WHV if I am remote working for a Uk company?
I plan to travel to Australia in May 2023 and I am looking for some advice on a visa suitable/route to go down. I plan to work for my UK company for 6 months whilst in Australia working from home. Can I use the working holiday visa or does it need to be an Australian company I work for? Any advice would be appreciated

You don't have to work on a WHV at all.

I think the only thing to consider is the taxes. You might need to understand the tax implications when working for an overseas company remotely. Here is some information:
