Default Vetassess statutory declaration - from uk

Hi

im looking for some guidance from anyone who successfully used a stat dec for Vetassess.

i have drafted the document using the template as my previous employment has dissolved their company.

does this need to be signed by a notary or is a solicitor ok to do it?

when I had a quote from a notary he asked me if I needed legalisation and apostille and I have no idea!

any help would really be appreciated as this is my only outstanding document!

thank you!

You need to sign the stat dec in the presence of a notary / solicitor

They then add their signature, name, capacity. etc following the guidance notes on the template

If it’s a U.K. stat dec then only a solicitor is needed. If it’s an Australian one, the instructions are on the AG’s website. Basically, you need someone on the list with “a connection to Australia”.
