Sorry am I missing something here? Why would they base your water bills on the amount of people in the house? Surely bills are based on the amount of water consumed!

That's an interesting point. I was born in the UK, pay my taxes there, have an NHS European Health card, have a UK passport, yet last year I worked in Germany for 3 months, Holland for 3 months...

Thanks for that. I spend around 3 months of the year in Italy. The rest of the year I'm working throughout the EU and Switzerland. That's one of the reasons I'm not a resident.

I'm a UK resident so sent them my Tax self assessment form. You can always contact the Consulate in Rome. They will be able to help you.

Thanks so much. I ended phoning the passport office in Dublin and they suggested I mail it direct to family in Ireland who can then post it on to the office. Thanks again.

If I were to buy a second hand video camera from the UK and have it delivered to Italy, would I now have to pay duty on it, or does that
only apply to new goods?
