Be aware that visitors on a visit visa can only visit for max 9 months in any 18 month period . Not sure personally how immigration need to be convinced someone would be a genuine tourist for 9...

ah well might have been marginally cheaper with the classic economy fare which includes 2x23kg each. Depends of course on availability time of year.

Etihad then but check their luggage allowance if flying economy as could be a mean 23kg if buying their saver fare versus Emirates/Qantas/Singapore 30kg. The economy classic or flex fares though...

good point re via the US as dont think extra bags can be purchased on an economy code share going east from UK booking with Air Nz has to be Air NZ all the way. Plus unlike Emirates as an example...

If you did not already know be aware that you only get 23kg luggage allowance each with AirNZ unless travelling on a premium ticket whereas travelling east from Europe you generally get 30 kgs each....
