ETA
Hi my sis in law is visiting again and is sure her eta is still valid but cant check status without knowing number which she doesnt know. Is it 2 years they are valid ?

Unfortunately that link still assumes someone kept a record of their ETA number when was issued.
You would have thought given is linked to a passport that together with Name/DOB would be enough but no. Even a new applicant needs to enter an application number to check status. ETAs are valid for 5 years of course, it’s the US ESTA that is not such a bargain at 2 years.
If in doubt I guess spend 7 dollars for a new one and keep ALL correspondence next time including application and ETA ref.
