Re: H1-B to Green Card through marriage

Not quite sure I understand your reasoning here - why would it be a slap in the face for your H1B sponsor? When you entered on H1B they wanted you as an employee and you had no other basis...

Well i did 1260 and spoke to someone. He wouldn't transfer me to an IO and just gave me the schpiel about normal processing times. I asked whether the IL had been sent out - he said he wouldn't be...

Re: Name Checks no longer to hold up green cards

ISn't there a catch-all of "fraud" which invalidates your citizenship or at least makes it revocable if you did not disclose relevant matters or mis-stated them? Clearly a criminal or "terrorist"...

Re: N-400 case status question

I am in the exact same situation as you - no need to freak out. The plus is that when I call the 800 misinformation line, the frontline phone answerer says they're not authorized to view my file and...

Re: Retirees May Help Cut Immigration Delay

 - would be nice if their demands for all applicants for citizenship before Oct 2007 be adjudicated by Jul4 were met so that we can vote this year.

Re: N400 can I do a case status? NSC

Exactly - my case never appeared - and I called the mis-info line and the confirmed the case and its status and said sometimes it just doesn't make it into the system  So if it's not there...

Re: Need some advice - N400 Fingerprinting

You have two options:

some ASCs will allow you to do fingerprinting as a walk-in (not on your appointment date) as long as you have your notice

Re: N-400 Cashier's check is void after 90 days

Agreed! That alone should be grounds for dismissal based on the lack of the minimum level of common sense (oh if only that was a valid grounds for dismissal  ).

Re: USCIS Issues Service Center and Lockbox Receipting Update

I am duly chastized - when I got home today, the I797 was waiting for me. receipt/priority date is actually Jul 19 (not the receipt date according to USPS) but that's not going to be critical.

So...
