I'm on 1.5mb with 18 gig limit, (aanet) which is just about enough. Works out about £30 per month. Not that much different to the UK (apart from the d/l limits) Plus the customer service with aanet...

The absolute best thing in Singapore is the night time safari (imo) unfortunatley judging by your times you will miss out on that, I think you will be pushing it.

Well maybe its different in Brisbane, here in WA believe me they are useless.
I tried everything, even bought a modem/router thinking that was restricting my connection some way.

I now have aanet 1.5mb package.
$69.99 per month for 18 gig.

Its very fast I can download at 156 kbs (faster than in the UK)

Do not use Curl, they are crap, I could never d/l at more than 5...
