400Mb plan sounded plenty but...
I have signed up for 2 years with BigPond on their $39.99 plan which gives "broadband" 512k speeds and 400Mb traffic. It sounded loads but I used 460Mb in 2 weeks of November and already have 100Mb in under two days in December after downloading Skype and making a few calls, uploading a dozen pictures and an hours surf. So I have just had to upgrade to the "unlimited" $69.99 plan from January. We are going to have to ration internet use this month. If anyone is thinking of getting one of these capped plans - be warned they are far from sufficient.

BTW, theres no such thing as unlimited downloads since I think youll find its only unlimited until you go over your isp's acceptable use policy which covers their ass should you be a frequent downloader.
512k is a joke too plus these days the upload speed is way lower which has slowed down all users of shared p2p files. Doesnt do any good if you have 512k if your downloading from a p2p user who has a 64k capped upload speed.
Gone are the days of 2mb up and 2mb down which I had in canada, I got a complete album of santana's supernatural in less than 5 minutes plus I was queuedby the sharer on napster after 2 tracks..........
