Re: Car Rental Malaga Airport

Like anyone you're entitled to your opinion and you can only take as you find.

But in January I rented a car from Goldcar in Alicante. Sure I paid for a full tank of fuel but it didn't work out...

Re: European Certificate of Conformity versus Metriculation

Interesting this. I have a 2005 Merc which has the code on the VIN plate. I've not re registered it yet. Is there anything I can or should get to avoid any high charges as previously mentioned?

Re: Internet/Broadband on same contract/provider in both UK and Spain

You have to be careful that the names you know and love ie Orange, Vodafone etc are not the same companies when in Spain,...

Re: football match in mallorca 6/7/13

Depends how good your Spanish is but maybe you could do some research on Real Mallorca and see if there are any fans groups that may have a team? Start by checking their website or maybe the twitter...

I have a satellite dish and have a freesat box, so no problems receiving UK TV at the moment. (I know things will change but that's a different story)

The question is, I want to receive Spanish TV...

Re: Mobiles

Rosemary, If you have landline with Movistar I would suggest you go into their shop, tell them you have land line with them and you want the cheapest mobile. I'm with Orange mobile and just ordered...

Re: Glass Curtains

That seems a bit paradoxical because what did they do before they were fitted? Surely it was too dusty then? And what about when they're shut in winter? Too hot then too? Doesn't really make...

Glass Curtains

Has anyone had glass curtains fitted in the fairly recent past?

I just wanted a bit of a guestimate on price so that I know whether to turn someone out to measure up or not. If they're £1000 then...

Re: Moving Stuff back to UK

I used Jimbo the Scot for my move. He has a website which is easy enough to find. £100 per Cubic metre, which is about 8 big boxes. Will certainly do Valencia I think and anywhere in the UK. Very...

Re: Hiring a car in Spain, elaving it in the UK

If you google one way car hire or one way van hire, there are some available I think. Might be better though to just hire someone to take your stuff as it would work out cheaper. There is a chap...

Re: Restaurant Roquetas De Mar

If it's closed now you may want to find out why. And not just be fobbed off with "Family problems in the UK". People will tell you all sorts if they think they're in with a chance of selling their...

Re: Demand for 1,800 euros tax one year after property purchase

Re: advice please re UK tv in Spain

I'm sure of the posts I've read from people over that way, but I'm not sure if it's actually the case, because A) I'm not there and B) I tend to take with a pinch of salt a lot of what I read on...

Re: advice please re UK tv in Spain

The information I have is that no one knows with any certainty what will happen and it is all speculation at the moment. Hence getting a cheaper box. It also obviously depends on where you are. Those...

Re: advice please re UK tv in Spain

I've just moved and in the property was a 1.3 meter dish.

I brought over a Humax Foxsat Freesat box and it works perfectly, save for the Channel 5 and related channels.

I did intend bringing a...
