Go and have a chat with meri at the ford garage - he matriculated our car for us and seems very knowledgeable and efficient

U can only legally keep it there for 6 months then u will need to get it matriculated - or take it back to uk for not

they are still REALLY expensive. We got one in UK and had it delivered to a friend who lives there and put it up ourselves - it cost less than £250 !

clearly the pilot light useage is not minimal, as we found out to our cost. Changing the boiler sounds a bit drastic (and more expense)!!

My friends used this guy too and said he was brilliant - he is maintenance director at the Barcelo hotel, is german and speaks really good english.

a little word of warning....... Having now done this we found that a gas bottle only lasted 2 weeks! The engineer came around and explained that we need to switch the pilot light off every night...

we have done exactly this and envisage saving quite a lot! Antonia from ADA contacted someone on our behalf. He came that afternoon, with a cylinder and changed the jets and gave us a gas safety...

unfortunately i have left the list in spain, am back 7/11 - will give you complete breakdown then - i know Meri's fee is 200 euros, you also have to pay tax on the value of the car. The dearest part...
