clearly the pilot light useage is not minimal, as we found out to our cost. Changing the boiler sounds a bit drastic (and more expense)!!

We had visitors using our appt in December,on arrival they couldnt get in the appt, key wouldnt open the door?,gave them George's number from Manzana Properties, his son went straight round got them in the appt then went on to change the lock, oiled the door and all the mechanics, said they replace quite a few each month?.

This in fact was me,got to our appt,2nd Jan,and had the brother -in-law staying there,he then mentioned the water had been a lot colder than previous visits over the winter?,so i went straight to the boiler and turned the knob to the big flame and increased the temp knob, job done.

No the water was even colder, but as it was three kings nowere was open to enquire,so cold showers it was, then purely by chance we spoke with Jon's friend while having a drink in the local, and he said tongue in cheek, turn them back to front,ie small flame lower temp?,:It worked hot boiling water hooray .

Luckily we bumped into him we were ready to pay out and have the boiler replaced?,thanks Bill/Jon
