Re: Car allowance for job - help please!!

I may be wrong here, but I thought the purpose of a car allowance would be to help you pay for the car, whether you buy or hire one. That's what it has always been for me in the past and is for me...

Re: Job offer in Perth what to do next

Agreed. It helps the consideration process as if, on balance, a person's life isn't going to be any more blissful in Perth than in the UK, then that person would want to think long and hard about it,...

Re: Health Insurance for pre existing conditions

Also, I'd advise checking to see if your employers have corporate deals with any of the insurers. If they do and you select that insurer, you normally get a discount or added benefits not available...

Agree. I am someone who enjoys clubbing and late nights and Perth isn't as good as Sydney for that. However, I didn't have the luxury of choice as opportunities in the oil and gas industry are few...

Re: Out to Perth on 457 visa - easy to get Aus credit card, car loan, etc.?

Thanks for the tip about...

Re: Out to Perth on 457 visa - easy to get Aus credit card, car loan, etc.?

Re: 457 visa, how early can we enter aaarrgghh!!

I think it's just an employer's preference not to have too much of the visa's time 'wasted' as I think it is valid from the date it is approved (not sure if you can apply for a later vaildity date),...
