There is the question of world wide income which can be based on domicile. Domicile exists for tax purposes.

If you are domiciled and uk resident (also look at ordinary residence) you are taxed...

I am assuming your domicile is Australia not the UK, therefore you are only liable for tax on money earned in the UK - provided it isn't remitted there.
