Defunct UK Child Trust Funds

We emigrated to Canada in May 2014, and managed to get all of our affairs in order. Well, all except for one really annoying thing: the children's Child Trust Funds. They are currently held with...

Re: Brazolot Migration Group BMG

Re: Lonely in Cochrane

Thanks guys. I've taken everything on board. Was having a super bad day. I've started training to drive the yellow school buses, so that should get me out in the community more. I've had a couple of...

Re: Advice on where in Canada to move to please!

If you like hot summers and snowy winters + skiing, then I think Alberta is the state for you. Calgary is probably the best city for you both, and Cochrane seems to be full of British Police for some...

Re: Canadian bank account

We opened an account with RBC before we arrived, then set it up properly on arrival. We were up and running sharpish, with no messing about. Would highly recommend.

I live in Cochrane, and rarely go to Calgary. I would love to meet you all, if you come to my neck of the woods.

Re: Alberta residents - can I pick your brains please?

I thought I'd get some flack. My reasons for moving are somewhat shallow and naive - I know this. Alberta, or indeed Canada may not end up our 'forever home' , but for now it's a break from the...

You can't beat a full English breakfast...fried bread, hash browns, fried egg, mushrooms, back bacon, sausages, baked beans and tomatoes.

Re: Oh FFS just stick to making pasties.

Ooh - potential war between Devon and Cornwall over the clotted cream. If they divorce, who gets sole custody of it?

Re: Creepy plot in British secular schools

I think the UK is gradually becoming a Muslim State. ;) Personally, I think religion is a personal thing between an individual and their God. Church is a place for this, not schools. In my humble...

Re: if the scots go, do you care?

Not really. Let 'em go independent if that's what they want. That way, England won't have to foot the bill for their free prescriptions for all, free school meals for all etc etc...the list of...
