I did add a paragraph to the wildlife article, and it's still there, just the links got removed.

I still think it'd be a good investment of your admin time to add...

Re: Why are'nt you using the Wiki ?

I did fire off a pm before writing about it here though. I wasn't asking why it was removed here, just pointing out that it's happening.

If moderators (or anyone else) remove content without...

This won't help...

Unfortunately one of the moderators, Sue, started removing some links I'd added to some articles without explanation

Recently britishexpats added a Wiki section (http://britishexpats.com/wiki/) to this site. I've added some stuff and a couple of others have added a little, but compared to say the US section of the...

Re: adelaide

Are you sending the dog over before you, the same time, or later ?

You may have trouble finding a rental that'll allow you to have a dog in the house. I left my dog behind for a few extra weeks...

Re: Rural Australia?

Port Pirie is a good 3 hours from Adelaide. I've driven through the area and wasn't impressed. From Adelaide, go east to the hills or south to the Fleurieu for better options than Port Pirie.

If...

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_Adelaide

I log the rainfall down here near Goolwa, which gets about the same number of rain days as Adelaide. Since this time last year we've had rain...

Re: New house build quality???

Nobody's mentioned straw bale walls yet. A foot of highly compacted straw makes for great sound/heat/cool insulation. The render that's put on top makes it as hard as a rock. We're building in...

I heard last week that a fair number of those that arrive in Adelaide fail to graduate from the SA Police training school, and the high failure rate has become a problem. This is hearsay and I don't...

Unhappy Bugger, they're back

It's March, and the March Flies (http://medent.usyd.edu.au/fact/biting%20flies.htm) are back here at Goolwa Beach.

Time to stay clear of the beach.

Re: redbacks I've had 5 now (SA)

I don't want to suggest Adelaide doesn't have major water problems, but do bare in mind that Adelaide's reservoirs are statistically in better shape than most of the other big cities. Adelaide has...

Re: Spiders And Snakes ? How Bad ?

Most spiders are harmless, just scary looking. I try to leave them alone around the house. Saw one yesterday grab a fly and drag it back to his nest. He earned his keep.

Been here nearly 4...
