A couple of comments. Bicton's nice (pricy), Palmyra's fine and Wilagee is genuinely on the up. Also White Gum Valley. Hamilton Hill, not too bad. Suburbs on the new Mandurah line will grow in value...

I personally always prefer to stay as close as possible to the Chao Phrya river, which is marvellous. I'd strongly suggest this area. The nearer to Saphan Taksin Skytrain (the metro) the better.

Gooseberry is great, pricy, some lovey views, inquire about possible 2nd airport terminal......

It can be harder to get work in very specialized fields outside mining.

Yes my spouse (on spouse visa) got it with no problem. The only difference is I got it for five years, she for the two years of her temp visa. There was NO difficulty, took minutes, all computerized....
