I'm in a similar postion and I agree with everything accept for Groceries. A year ago it was cheaper in the UK, but its gone up again there recently - its gone up a bit in Spain too and I would say...

NOT fully insured as its illegal and insurance companies are only too happy to take your money, but I'll bet they wont pay up when you have an accident and kill someone. Maybe you could have not paid...

That was the last recession and it was simply reflecting the shift from hardcore industry and was turned into the "black" fiasco by the government and the unions both trying to win a power struggle....

You would need to live in the UK to claim any benefits from there. As you've lived in Spain for this long tho I'm not sure what entitlements you could claim if any ???

Thats one of the first thing I noticed about houses here - all the tiles everywhere make it very "echoey" and difficult to "not hear" everything in the house. Its useful when I want to yell for a kid...

Dont you just hate it when you have visitors and it rains! As you say, they come out for a bit of sun and some outdoor life and end up sitting around indoors and bored - I never know what to do with...
