Leaking like a sieve. Anyone else's house wet this morning?
Jolly good job there were several old newspapers in the magazine rack.... got up this morning to at last count five 'more than' damp patches in the living room alone; coursing down the step to the dining room, & outside the covered terrace totally awash.......& I daren't even think about what it'll be like driving up the track. Isn't it about time someone turned the tap off, we've had our share for a while

I was in a Spanish garage yesterday which has a large shop, cafeteria and restaurant attached to it, and it was leaking everywhere with buckets all over the place to catch the rainwater dripping through the roof.
We were going to have a meal but decided on just a tostada, thinking that all that rain water leaking into the kitchen can’t be too healthy. It didn’t seem to bother anyone, it was packed.

Had a leak for about 3 weeks now, can't do anything about it until it stops raining. So, in the meantime I've just had to take down the affected section of ceiling at the top of the stairs to minimise the potential damage (doesn't look very pretty but hey ho), plonk a couple of buckets down, listen to the drips and sit and wait...
The good news is that 2 leaks I fixed last year to another roof haven't leaked at all this time (yet!)

luckily we have no leaks, altho the doors, where the dogs keep going in and out have pools of water infront of them. However, our driveway has a raging torrent running across it - about 20ft wide and 4 ft deep so theres no way we can get out of our house for the forseeable future

Leaky roofs are a tradition here
ALL my leaks only do so when the wind is in a certain direction. Builders advice, buy a bucket it's much cheaper than repairing the roof as it doesn't rain enough to worry about it.
Don't you just love Spanish philosophy

I'm glad I came home, no rain here - just snow woke up to a blanket of the white stuff this morning.

Miraculously no leaks in the house but the track is like a raging river full of gulleys... luckily went into the village shopping yesterday as not sure we could get out today. Getting rather fed up with it all now

Had to go (1) to Malaga. 2 landslips before I got to the village, raging torrent over a bridge usually carrying traffic; landslips in suburbs of Malaga, (2) Fuengirola.....raging torrents where the river(s) come out from by the airport - up to tree level - and I'm told at Mijas there's an industrial estate under water & trees rushing down with the river. Ho hum.

Ain't that the truth! Where's the difficulty in building a place that doesn't leak? Reading this forum, you've certainly had much more rain this winter than I have here in UK, why don't they build properties to stand a bit of rain.

Couple of years ago there were horrendous floods around Málaga Airport, and landslips blocking the main A7. We did eventually manage to get our flight, just, after many diversions, but friends of ours following behind us had to stop for fuel after being stuck in traffic for hours and missed the flight! That was trying to come in from Nerja side mind.

The Q about properties, probably because they built them cheap on land that isnt appropriate for building to people who dont know any better...
