I assume the "list" that everyone is talking about is the CSL?

Is there a difference between the SOL and CSL for Vic?

Is the Skilled – Sponsored (176) Eligibility List the same as the CSL or...

The recession hasnt put us off mostly because we only have one chance at emigrating as I'm 45 in 2010 and thereafter won't have any way of getting a permanent visa.

I'm a LOT worried about leaving...

Out of interest, what are the bike costs?

Can full-no-claims be transferred from a UK insurance company to an Aussie one?

Diesel is around £1/L here so about half of that...

When we get to Oz eventually I was wondering what to expect in relation to car expenses

Road tax?
Insurance?
Diesel/Petrol cost?
Yearly MOT? or similar?

Yes, my agent also confirmed that the age limit only applies up till the time of lodgement of the visa application. I must have just missunderstood what he meant. :)

Not sure Jen but that was the occupation that my migration agent thought I'd get in on. I'd have thought he'd have noticed that it wasnt on the list for Victoria. I'll just need to wait till I speak...

My migration agent said "You must be under 45 at the time that the visa is assessed for it to be granted." [Quote from the email I got] and...

As far as I'm aware I must still be 44 at the time that the visa application is assessed.

If I'm wrong in this then please correct me :)

Eek that's not good. I've not even started the Skills Assessment yet and we need to be done and dusted before I'm 45 in June 2010. Might be tight!

So it looks to me from that that to have the equivelent of an Australian year 12 education you need to have passed 3 Highers which may mean that the Scottish Qualifications Authority Int2...
