He will have to do an airbrake theory & practical test. A general theory test. Plus a practical (driving) test. I believe there maybe more training specified as well now.

We are still on mileage pay, just how the sums work out is beyond me. But the powers that be seem satisfied with what the company has produced.

Niel, just to clarify the line the company took. All the drivers whose original 2 year WP was about to, or had expired & wanted to stay. They all had LMIAs applied for, last year. They were allowed...

Lou, well over 50%. But we are told so long as he says he'll pay $26 an hour he is in the high wage bracket & the 30% no longer applies.

It is a fact that all those he has got LMIAs for now have 2...

Well done Milan. We took nearly 10 months just to get nominated in Alberta. Doing Federal stage now.
Still working at Watt & Stewart. They are not hiring at the moment due to the new TFW...

The employer has to fulfill the criteria laid down in the rules they agree to abide by when being authorized to be part of the TFW program. Fines for non compliance can be upto $100,000.

As far as I am aware the LMIA is one name only & costs $1000. Which the employer must pay. Whether the application is granted or refused the employer loses the $1000. Without the relevant experience...

No.6 months with your employer in MB. Them you can apply for nomination.

You need 2 years experience for your prospective employer to get an LMIA in your name.
