Thanks again to all. We are fortunate enough to be morgage free here and would probably be in NZ or possibly a very small mortgage. Obviously this does help us hugely financially.

As far as I understand it insurance can be arranged. We just looked into it for our car in the UK and it cost about £20 pw to name another driver on the policy.
