So what is the up to date position? I know the government passed the anti terrorist legislation but did it include changes to the number of years you had to wait for citizenship? The DIMA site does...

This legislation should is so controversial (not talking about teh 3 year ciizenship bit) that iif introduce in the British Parliament it would take years to pass as a result of debate and amendment...

The 2 year timeframe is an emotional barrier that I had set myself when I first thought about coming to Aus. My plan was to stay that long ad then at least the kids would have passports that would...

We migrated last year and had to lug all the excessive luggage into town by taxi. It wasn`t diificult as the taxi drivers and hotel porters are so helpful - not like the Uk or Sydney taxi drivers.

Its worth mentioning that where we meet in the park has a kids cycle track and some of the kids who go bring their bikes (usually up to age about 10)

Got my gas bill in today and I couldn`t believe how little it was - $51.42 for 3 months!

We do not have gas heating but cook for 2 adults and 2 kids every day on a gas cooker and have showers and...

Good idea - how about a simple meet up in a pub - the edinburgh castle in Pitt street (2 min walk from Town Hall station) has an area upstairs that is quiet and good for this type of thing.

The Centenial Park in the Eastern Suburbs - not the one near the Olympic stadium would be good place for both those with and withjout kids. There are barbie areas too.

I am not so sure about that. I thought you had to be in the country for your last 12 months before you applied i.e 12 consecutive months. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?
