The ex-England coach was running his "Soccer Circus" in Glasgow after quitting his job at City in March 2005.

Obviously the best man for the job, then.

Next step I can see is to bring Shearer on board in some role and groom him as inevitable successor for when it all goes sour again.

I thought you said Newcastle fans weren't interested in baubles, just exciting football. How long before Eileen comes back.

Bow down in trepidation before your conquerers, ye gooners. The Messiah has come again and will drive through your pagan hordes with the pure righteousness of The Once and Future Geordie God.

Ye art DOOMED!!!!

Our hopes now are three-fold: none of which necessarily involve the acquisition of cups.

A team to be supported with pleasure, not a heavy heart and a sense of duty.....
A manager we don't feel ambivalent, embarrassed or downright grubby about supporting....
For the rest of the planet to f*** right off and mind their own business.

Are these unrealistic expectations? probably.

Im not sure if you are overmedicating, or just forgot to take it altogether:confused::eek::D

Good Luck, At least whatever happens its safe to say it wont be dull to watch! I still think LFC are more likely to win the prem than NUFC a pot...and you know how likely that is!

Well, not long now to the first match under Muad'ib, oh sorry KK.

If you can't beat Bolton, are you going to sack Keegan again?

Keegan wasn't sacked the first time. If he hadn't walked away in 1997 he'd probably still be there anyway.

And no matter what happens today, we'll be fired up for your lot in the cup next. So watch your lip.

I'm not going there.

There were signs of life, today. Committment from the players and (at least in the second half) entertaining football.

Good enough start for me.
