Manhunt for Magnotta
#286
The point I was making was that murderers don't really affect the vast majority of people. It's vandals, litterers, burglars, etc. that do. Far more people are killed because of stupidity on the roads every year.
That's what makes for a "lawless" society (I think you meant an out of control society, as after all people make laws).
Me having sympathy for the guy he killed makes not one jot of difference to anything.
Face reality - TV news is primarily an entertainment medium, how many hours have they filled up with this guy, how many with the people killed on the roads in the last couple of weeks, or the burglaries in your neighbourhood? Not "newsworthy" enough, although it is news and has more relevance to our lives.
(And clearly you didn't get the Thomas De Quincey reference).

So i agree with you. If it only impacts other people, then **** 'em

I was waiting for the NDP to issue a press release saying they've been discriminated against because they didn't receive any body parts.
But I think they're waiting to see if the head shows up.

Personally if without reasobable doubt he's guilty I wouldn't bother with a trial - just pity there is no death penalty...
BUT that is a completely different thread and will likely bring about much debate and throw this topic off on a tangent
You never know they may not put him in solitary and sure some of the people inside will be looking forward to saying 'hello' to him.

On a side note that bampot Magnotta has pleased Not Guilty - no doubt by way of insanity, typical. He knew enough to know what he did was wrong and ran for the hills!
