If it is for closure and, on the assumption he is convicted, what about parole hearings, his final release, the media hype each and every time such things happen?
If it is for him to face the music, I doubt very much he will testify himself so, essentially, the trial will, likely, simply be experts giving evidence about facts that link him to the event. He will have to sit through it but, I suspect, it will affect those that had nothing to do with it but listen to it far more than it will affect him.
He is in custody already, will his life appreciably improve or worsen if convicted?

Keep seeing references to him being in porn, the NP did an article where they said they could find no evidence he ever was in porn. He made it up himself and put it on the web.
