There is just as many flag waving patriots in Scotland who are completely disturbed individuals and obsessed with the Union, U can keep this lot if you want.Unfortunately I actually know of human beings like this that exist, strange Breed to say the least.
Warning - Extreme language and idiocy

Wasn't most of the "Empire" given back?

I listened to the interview. What point was it that he was supposed to be making?

As I said above, Scotland will get what Scotland wants and I will be very pleased for them. If the vote is "yes" or "no", I doubt that many in the rest of the UK will care a month after the vote. The politicians will, but most people will not.

Wilson was speaking to a Scottish audience who have been following the debate. Recently there was a media stooshie when a Labour activist claimed to have been victimised by a PR man in the Yes Campaign. The first part of the interview focussed on that.

Point is that there is a lot more to all this than Alex Salmond. Media reports and perception outside Scotland is focussed on 20 second sound bites.

It seems that some are unfamiliar with the expression "Empire Loyalist". Have a look at this -

Re: if the scots go, do you care?

I don't care as I have said before and the Scots and those who are not but living in Scotland at the time will get to vote in September.
Why should I care is it because of hundreds of years of history and allegiance with the Scots? Tell me why I should care now that Im a Canadian.
Do I dislike the Scots well No I don't same as I don't dislike the Welsh, Irish or any other nationality.
Im proud of my ancestry but Im not a flag waving patriot. Im proud to have been born in England and serving that country (UK) in HM Forces. I chose to move here. Im just as proud to live here as well.
What does make me laugh are the ex pats of all countries who are currently living in Canada permanently or temporary banging on about subjects like this or how backward Canada is to the country they left.
If it was or is so ****ing great then why did you leave:confused:
I chose to leave because I married a Canadian who had moved to the UK to be with me. Sure I could choose to move back to the UK but I am happy here. If you really believe in Scotlands future and independence then why aren't you on the next plane back and waving your Saltire or rampant lion flags?
Let us Canadians get on with life because most don't give a shit what happens as they have been through the Quebec scenarios and most are tired of the arguments.

Just referring back to the video above posted by Chris2222 - at the end of the video, the psycho with the England top on said that he would move to Wales if Scotland won independence...that's definitely another good reason to vote 'Yes' at the referendum :)

I was commenting upon the fact that the interview seemed to be suggesting that "Westminster" had a hard time delegating/granting autonomy to various jurisdictions. I was merely pointing out that history would suggest otherwise.

Just showing that video clip to a Canadian of non UK ancestry is enough to make their head explode:lol:
First of all there should be subtitles so a Canadian can understand what is actually being said.
Now get into the basic reasons why a Scottish person is wearing an England shirt and telling them about why he is wearing it.
Would that guy have been as passionate without the 10 pints of Tennants swirling around his brain cell.
So which way do you think he will vote Yes or No?
My betting is he will not vote as he will miss the vote due to him being pissed and passed out somewhere

 Reading the ballot paper or being able to see it without squinting and closing one eye could be his first dilemma to deal with come the election lol.

The UK does have a constitution, it just isn't written in a formal document as, let's say, the US or Canadian ones are.

She said: "We believe that Scotland should have a written constitution, rather than the quilt work of statutes, precedent, practice and tradition that make up the constitution of the UK.
Canada has a written constitution its called the Constitution Act 1982. So hows that working for us Canucks then?
Constitution Acts, 1867 to 1982

Some will say its great and some will say its out of date and needs revising.
Mr Harper seems to be having the odd few problems with his own Supreme Court who are ruling against some of the legislation that his Govt have or about to propose.

For defence reasons. Agree with Heseltine that this is the worst sort of Salmond populism.
