I have just had a read through your blog, very interesting making myself thinking about writing one. Apart from the Visa being sent, we are trying to sort the house out for renting while we are in Aus on a temporary basis while we rent in Aus, deciding where to live. But after other posts about renting not sure what to do.

I read this morning that you have packed up smoking, keep at it. I stopped on the 1st Jan (NY Resolution) I have had a half a ciggy about 2 weeks ago when really stressed but other than that going well on patches. Next is the weight all this for the medicals, just hope we both pass .

Hi guys

Just to add, we are MODL (mechanic) and not using Agent.

TRA seems really daunting but try and explain everything to someone who doens't have a clue what you are talking about. It's all in the details. I really didn't have the energy to do it, but you have to break it down in smaller tasks and then you'll get somewhere.

Good Luck everyone

Worth starting one i think, i started mine at the beginning of the process in hope that when we are all settled in oz and things maybe tough in those first few months it will be a reminder for me to look at, at how hard things were getting the visa in the first place!!And be nice to look back on the journey too, plus its feels like a friend i can have a rant at without any feedback, we all know sometimes you just dont want answers just need to get things off ya chest!! And i love reading other peoples too, some real good ones up there!!

Well done on the quitting smoking, keep telling myself its all worth it but its soooooooooooo hard and so is the dieting everytime i get the urge to snack im shoving a horrible dry ryvita in my gob in hope it will pass, seems to be working so far but dunno how long i can last i keep dreaming of fresh cream cakes so i know ive hit rock bottom!! Dunno how Andy is putting up with me i must be so grumpy, have to just keep telling myself why im doing it!!

Good luck on your quest

Well - Disaster - a little b******* in school has stolen my purse. It had the credit card in that I've used on the application for the fee. NIGHTMARE - If I have to send the whole application off again I think I'll cry.

Going to stay up late tonight to try and phone Adelaide and see if they'll take another credit card number - maybe they can link it to my passport number or something.

I can't believe it. I think I know who took it too and I'm going to want to kill the little cow tomorrow :curse:

Anyone got any ideas do you think they'll will let me do this???

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO p****ed off

Janet,

So sorry to hear about your CC, I'm sure they will be ok once you have explained. Thats the problem with this country no discipline or respect for others. Hope everything works out ok.

Thanks Julie and Dave - I'm trying to keep positive - I've already sent an email to the branch1 email address which I know is for attaching documents but there doesn't seem to be any email contact details for us limbo people who have lodged but haven't been acknowledged so I'm just trying everthing!

Thanks for your support! Appreciated

Hi sj.Hi all,
well we finally sent off our visa application to our agent, and all we have to wait for now is the bank draft to reach her which should take one week (we ordered it thruogh money corp whom they deal with ).so glad as hubby passed his tra back in jan, just didnt have the money to send for visa strait away as still trying to finish the house, which we have now decided to put on the market in about a month all being finished, we were going to put it on around june/july time but agent said yesterday that the wait for a case officer at the mo is pretty quick around 4 months and then should recieve visa between 2 and 4 weeks after that so looking around 1st week or so in august. For those of you that dont know there is me,kelsey my hubby andy, and our 2 daughters aged 8 and 2, and were hopefully off to brisbane.we will have to let you know when she has actually sent it off.
kelsey and andy.

1. Did you leave "evidence that the main applicant has vocational English" blank if you are born in UK and have UK passport.

2. Additional evidence for Schedule 6a requirements - please can someone tell me what this is - I'm pretty sure its n/a to me but don't want to leave it blank or n/a if others have filled it in.

My spouse will be coming with me but has not had her skills assessed.

Please help, I feel I'm on the last hurdle but this checklist is causing more grief than the main appplication form.
Thanks if you can help
Andrea

RE question 2

i don't have the paperwork to hand, but it would surely apply to you....especially if you have kids, it's all the extra info, proving relationship, spouse stuff, health.... etc
