March Applicants

Re: March Applicants
Hi, we are from India. We have also posted off our applications yesterday. Would we also receive something by Sept? or wud we have to wait longer? Any ideas? Also, when we applied, we were faced with a problem. I turn 39 in May and will lose 5 points after that. So, we had to lodge our application ASAP. Just as we finished everything, we discovered that our children's passports are expiring in a month. Anyway, after searching this forum and reading thro' we decided to post the application, and then renew the passports. Any ideas abt this? Any advice/opinion etc wud be welcome.Thx...and yes, best of luck to all of us...
1. you will get points for Age on the date when your app was acknowledged, May is too far so dont worry about that
2. Normally, the passport validiity is also not a serious issue as in these kind of situations they will ask you to provide details of renewed passports once the case has been finalized. Passport Validity is an issue when the Visa is being granted.
3. Its v.hard to comment on your question about Sept nothing is guaranteed, depends on many factors (if you are on MODL or not and etc). Do some reasearch on this forum about the timeline of people who were in same boats like yours.
Goog luck

Re: March Applicants
Hi guys,
Its been a week for me now since I've sent the app. I was expecting to have Credit Card charged in the first week which hasnt really happened so far.
Has anyone else made any progress so far ?

Re: March Applicants
We have sent of our 136 visa app on 08/03/2007, ASPC would then have received it 09/03/07 by Express Post. Ours was a wopping 164 pages, excluding the checklist.
Just so glad it is finally in, now my blood pressure can return to normal. It is really a daunting task doing a TRA app and then applying for PR visa straight after. I need a holiday after all that paperwork.
We will be frontloading meds & pcc's as we are already in Aus on 457 visa. Will be sending that off the AFP PCC application this week and then we'll probably go for medicals as soon as we get our case/file number or something.
Hang in there guys. It seems like we might get lucky before September, I hope

Re: March Applicants
Hi,
Well - it's a bit scary actually, to think that things MAY work out sooner than we expected. We were sorta looking at Jan/Feb 2008 timeline (OMG!!!) But it also seems like things have slowed down a bit in the last 1 year. So - it's all still v v fluid. Anyways, we'd all start getting really worried and excited the moment any one of us gets the green signal.
BTW, We've already got our PCC in hand just now. I'm not sure I understand abt Frontloading ... can this hasten up the process? Also, there's a validity period of 1 year on the PCC, if I'm not mistaken. So, will the PCC run out by the time the papers come for scrutiny?
Thanks Janet, for filling our details in, God Bless.

Re: March Applicants
Hello All,
We are also March applicants as our agent who is based in Perth sent off our application on the 28th of Feb, so DIAC should have received it by the 2nd of March. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long as we are a 136 non-modl. LiverpoolLass we have sent you a pm so we can be added to the list.
Wishing everyone Good Luck and to speedy CO's.

Hi Gak,
I think that once you have your acknowledgment (with your file reference number) you can scan in the PCC and email it to ASPC. There is some info on the DIMA's website
http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa...fessionals.htm
I plan to email our PCCs. As you say there is the risk that you may have to get another PCC if you are waiting ages for a case officer. I think for some in the past it has shaved some time off the process. I don't plan to do meds until around end of May/June as that is just too much money to risk having to do again.
Cheers, Janet

Re: March Applicants
hi posted off our visa on 1st March, used DHL but according to tracker its still in Heathrow! Hopefully will arrive next week, heading to Brisbane on modl 136, just not sure when to put house on market, have had it valued but feel a huge sense of relief that all that form filling out is done.
good luck everyone

1. Did you leave "evidence that the main applicant has vocational English" blank if you are born in UK and have UK passport.
2. Additional evidence for Schedule 6a requirements - please can someone tell me what this is - I'm pretty sure its n/a to me but don't want to leave it blank or n/a if others have filled it in.
My spouse will be coming with me but has not had her skills assessed.
Please help, I feel I'm on the last hurdle but this checklist is causing more grief than the main appplication form.
Thanks if you can help
Andrea
