I hope it's a bit more balanced than that - some of us realise that the Daily Mail is published in Xenophobia (Capital: Chauvinville, Pop: 3,000,000,001) - it's on the Adriatic, just south of San Serifé.

Also have cousins at present who are keen Marxists and bore everyone with their lectures, and a s-inlaw who was a Congress activist, it is a politically dmixed family.
I have never met an Indian, alive at the time, who "hated" the British, many admired them, but did not wish to be ruled by them.
On the other hand, OH as a child wondered why the club his father played tennis at with British had a "No Indians" sign over the door. These memories stay PJ is it any wonder that the younger Indians would grow up with resentment.

ohmy:! even was not around in 1940 - come on be fare :hysterical:

I said relatives, I didn't say I was in India in the 1940's. All of them in the RSS are now dead. They were long lived I did know them though.

[QUOTE=Bipat;9751830]I find it odd that for a mainly right-wing supporting, (anti-lefties), member forum,

Rather hypocritical comment IMO - you are the first person to complain and label other posters for generalising - yet here you are generalising and assuming about others on this forum.

FYI - I never read the DM - but you assume I and others do. That said I wholeheartedly defend the right of others to choose what newspapers they read, whether the DM, The Sun or anything else, without being criticised and labelled by the likes of you.

I agree.
It seems that the wealthy of India do not as a rule put back into society to eradicate social problems such as poverty. But then again why should they bother when so much money is sent to them in foreign aid ?

Dread could I ask you to actually read my post, I did not mention the Daily Mail.

Yes I was generalising though and I apologise for that; I was thinking of all the remarks about "lefties" on the very long thread about The "Riots"; when new posters to the Forum were criticised for left wing views and if I remember asked to leave. I also remember Noni explaining sometime ago that she "Agreed with BNP policies" although she would not vote for them.
In a democracy all have a right to any views. (Including the lefties I may add)

If you actually read the context of my post it was to express surprise therefore that the right wing BJP party was so disliked by Forum members who mention it.

Of course there must be members of all political views on the Forum, I will "come out" as a social democrat and admirer of Shirley Williams, and await the mockery (I get it at home!).

What did you mean though by "the likes of me"?

Article in the Express today, shows not just the attitude of criminals but the sorry state of our education system that can turn out a 16 year old with such dreadful spelling and grammar.

This is a different thread on a completely different subject matter and some of those who came to the forum on the riots thread are known to visit forums just to stir up aggro tag team style. And actually at that time their views were left wing.

The likes of you - those who criticise others for something then do the very same themselves - perhaps choice of words could have been different, but it does not change my view that people should be allowed to read whatever they like without being labelled or criticised.

Dread you still haven't understood, I did not mention the Daily Mail. Please read my post before criticising.
I was expressing surprise at the fierce dislike of the BJP party on the Forum.
Too much to hope for apology I suppose.

Read my post - I say you mentioned it in an earlier post - check back on your last few posts and you will see that.
My response may have only quoted the one post but was actually referring to both posts - one where you make a comment about the DM and one where you generalise calling everyone right wing.
Now you have said your bit and I have said mine so lets not go over and over it
