A Paradise Under Threat: By Tomazinho Cardozo
27 Nov: Navhind Times. The impression that Goa is the most secure state of India is fast vanishing. Today, Goa is not behind other states in the country, which are known for their law and order problems. Goans are witness to all types of crimes in all fields of life. Besides murders, rapes, assaults, etc, use of drugs, alcoholism, prostitution, etc, are on the rise. We are not at all that backward in the art of corruption, too. Goa where are you heading too:-

Yes - just had a look. It was there last night :sneaky:

For all of you in the UK

Sea and Surf Pound Canacona Coastline 29 Herald. Rough sea and strong winds pounded the Canacona coast late Sunday night, ripping apart dozens of fishing boats and destroying fishing nets and other equipment … huge waves also pounded the coastal areas at Colomb, Agonda and Khola…
Page 2: Canacona traumatised, families scour shore …
Salcete, N Goa also hit; 17 were rescued in Calangute, Baga, Candolim, Bogmalo …

Gusty winds destroy fishing equipment in Palolem, Vasco 29 Nov: Navhind Times. Cyclone likely in Arabian Sea; thundershowers to hit Goa

High tide hits south Goa beaches 29 Nov: Times of India. An unexpected surge of the high tide powered by squally winds on Goa's coast caused damage as huge waves battered at least 34 canoes and motorized boats at Palolem beach in Canacona taluka apart from damaging some shacks on Sunday night and Monday morning…

Winds and rain batter Holloway Road. Most of the residents pleased because for one it cleans up all the litter and two, it keeps the low lifes in doors.Think we are in for a windy night here though and the big game is on.Arsenal Man City.

iirc there used to be a good chippy on the Holloway Rd - pretty unique 'cos it was also a wet fish shop.

on further reflection my memory was off (well it's been nearly 40 years) - it was on Caledonian Road, between the tube and the nick iirc.

I am not entirely sure of this and will happily be corrected, but do they not allow the fairer sex the opportunity to train as pilots and in fact offer a female pilot when invited by the Americans to send someone to take part in a mission on the space shuttle?
