Will be interesting to see what happens once the athletes start arriving.

What with Dengue Fever rampant in Delhi, collapsing walkways - enough to put anyone off visiting........

Hi all,

Some time ago i did flag up the problems likely to happen with the CW Games. I did think that maybe they would pull it all together, maybe they will but I think there will be problems.

Given the money that has been given to the games and the rampanrt corruption, I would ask DC how he thinks he can do bussiness with India, and why he cant see that people who have brought property in India have been duped. To be honest I think it time that the dispicable and damaging coruption is named for what it is. I think it is time that the Uk govt. stops playing a seduction game and recogonises that corruption is embedded to the detriment of most Indians and certainly expats..

"A senior official said Westerners had "different standards" of hygiene, but that the site was being thoroughly cleaned before the opening.

Delegates who visited the tower blocks where athletes will live during the games had described them as filthy, with rubble lying in doorways, dogs inside the buildings, toilets not working and excrement "in places it shouldn't be".

Speaking at a news conference in Delhi, Lalit Bhanot, secretary general of the Delhi organising committee, said the authorities understood the concerns shown by some member countries and the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).

But he suggested that the complaints could be due to "cultural differences".

It's a conspiracy. The bridge was sabotaged. Dikshit (what a name!!) says it was only for COMMON PEOPLE, so it's okay.

Why do the athletes need toilets? Let them come DOWN to Indian standards and shit wherever.

A conspiracy. Definately.

Wally.

Indian F1 Grand Prix

Well I'm certainly looking forward to the Indian F1 Grand Prix, wonder what flag will be used to warn drivers of cow's on the track.
Still it should be the only place in india where you will see all the cars going in the same direction... I hope.
