No one should listen to Vikram Vermin, this man is just out for publicity, have you noticed when ever the property scam is in the media,he is there being quoted.Even when Daff gave her story to the Times,he was there being quoted.I wrote to him 18 months ago,he asked for £500 retainer before he would even look into my case. If the guy's Mick & Nick are using Mr Vermin or A Monterio tell them to get shut straight away GC ;)Im certainly not going into a panic now I know who's mouth this little lot as come out.I think this bloke suffers with verbal sh*ts:thumbdown::rolleyes: |

In answer to your question, yes he does work out of Calangute. This lawyer cannot be trusted and if you know of anyone being advised to or thinking of appointing him as power of attorney, warn them to do so at their own peril. Would that estate agent be a British man who has an office in Calangute Main Street opposite Elicias Electricals per chance ? If so, another one to be avoided at all costs - or it will cost !! Dread - keep them at bay ! x |

Countdown to the game - 196 days 07 hours
Thursday, March 18, 2010 Rising cost: Commonwealth Games to get Rs 700 crore more "After the budget for conducting Commonwealth Games was more than doubled from Rs 767 crore to Rs 1,670 crore just three months ago,the mega event is to receive another infusion of Rs 700 crore for "outlays" - an innocuous-sounding word essentially meaning furnishing." What other "outlays" will there be ?:confused: K-C |

We were given A. Monteiro's name by ACRON from whom we bought, but haven't contacted him yet. Has any "Acron owner" tried to sell recently when still on "lease"? Now we don't know who to trust here.................... |
Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Truemanc, iain492001, - you should know that although there are two or three people on this site who report bad experience with Augustus Monteiro there are others of us who hold him in high regard.
Powers of Attorney can be written to cover specific transactions only, and if you are going to be out of India a PofA may be the only way you can complete a transaction (bearing in mind that if you have got your deeds then at the moment the Registrar is still refusing to register transactions involving foreigners). You have to make up your own mind who to trust with what. AndyD 8-)# |

I'm in agreement with a_f_d on this one regarding Augustus Monteiro - you have to judge based on your own personal experience in your own individual circumstances. I for one don't agree with the old adage that 'the customer is always right' - whilst some service providers lie & don't do what they said they would - shock of shocks, but some 'customers' also lie & don't do what they said they would do - in short, there are always two sides to any story. . . . . . . . . . I also find it astounding that money given to the Indian Govt is used to send a rocket into space when millions of their citizens are dying due to curable diseases and abject poverty. Sending a rocket into space is hardly an advancement in science as it has been done many times before by other countries. Complete waste of money and a pointless exercise ! Dread - prioritising ! x |
