We can but hope and pray. Just spoken to 6 people long termers who are not renewing their rentals before they leave this week.

As for peeps T - do you mean the BE peepers who do not join the site but are happy to take all the help that you guys get for them. They should be ashamed not to stand up and be counted. That man Lewis needs their stories, but some people sit back and let others do all the work.

I'd heard the 30 day rule was rescinded, not the 60 day rule -
anyone know more?

I just checked on the VFS site - there is no mention of the 30-day rule at all, the 60-day ruke is still there, and the new rules for 'itinerary' visits are there (these were first mentioned in replies to emails to VFS). There is also a new 'Taktal' fast-track Business visa - just £100 extra!

Thanks for this GC56 and the GV,

Having had the pleasure of speaking to Platon directly over the years I can assure you he is a very honourable, knowledgeable man in all things Goan but above all he is a very shrewd and strong business man, his opinion will be voiced and heard throughout the UK travel industry.......

Nice article, GC56 and excellent reply, K-C. Thank you.

Let's hope Mr Platon's clear realisation of the situation cuts the mustard with the blinkered Delhi-based beaurocrats.

Perhaps he ought to have a man-to-man talk with Mickky P. too, and put him right on a few points about the British holidaymaker - especially that we are NOT dole-queuers but do work HARD to earn our holiday(s) and our retirement.

Mind you, he might be out of a job soon:rofl::rofl::rofl: I wonder where he will sign on?

Remember the days when British weekend newspapers used to be filled with such articles?

Not anymore. In my 2 months exile here in Blighty, I haven't seen 1 snippet about Goa in any newspaper.

I wonder if we shall see an invasion of New Yorkers soon, or will they stick to Mexico?

Goa seems a long way to travel for 36 hours of hedonistic pleasure:wub:
