Back on topic..........................

An online article in GQ;

contains such gems as

Many take to
India immediately, recognizing a place
where they can fit in easily, where the
ever-present corruption and thuggery in
the system is merely a minor-league version
of what they have to deal with back
home.
and

it is easier for them to get business visas
than, for example, the Italians or Swiss.
More than 200 Russians have bought
property legally in Goa, according to
the embassy’s representatives, and over
200 business visas have been issued to
Russian citizen
there are many more gems in this article, such as twice as many Russian flights than from the UK this season, and the last time I looked, they were using Jumbos!
Give it a read, although its a pdf document, its worth the effort. Well written and informative, even if the content is unpalatable, innit?

An appalling tale of Police inefficiency and corruption, reported as if it is completely normal, which it is..................another good reason to respect your host country

Glad to be leaving this shit hole for ever in a month.
Never ever thought we would say this but we can't wait - really am suprised we said this but it is true.
We bought an apartment which was not registered and with heavy heart we sold it last year and now it was the best thing we ever did.
Seriously Good-bye Goa - for ever -- mid May.
