you're welcome <g> - copy the url (web address) from the top of the page you are visiting -
in the BE Message box write something - e.g. this link
- select it, click on the icon like a globe with two links of chain, and paste the url in the box that opens.

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

A few days ago a friend (PIO) sent me details of new rules about people on 'itinerary' trips being given double/triple/quad visas instead of multi's - which are now restricted to UK <-> India trips with two month breaks.
I hadn't posted it here because I was waiting for confirmation, but it has now been mentioned on IM (see#6) and I found it in full here

It seems to be coming from VFS UK in reply to email queries.
Anyone know more???????
(Just when you think you've grasped the rules they change 'em without telling anyone - Kafkaesque or what!)

I think the current generation of Indian beaurocrats must have spent all their youth playing computer games - the sort where you can't get past level #419 because you didn't take the goldfish from the hollow skull in the witch's house at level #4c

A clear indication that when it comes to the Government of India, the left hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing!

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

I agree, J5. I found this

http://beta.thehindu.com/business/Ec...icle199994.ece

Are the authorities just hellbent on hoodwinking their own?

October & November were "washouts" for most tourists who come for a beach holiday, and especially for any "new" tourists visiting Goa (no shacks on beaches etc) - I doubt if they would ever come back given that first impression. December wasn't all that much better, but at least the shacks had started to get going.

I can't comment on the number of foreign tourists from Jan 10th onwards, but I did hear that "our" shack (Maya's on Sinquerim/Candolim) was torn down by the police in late January for operating without a licence - they were unlucky in this year's lottery despite having had a licence for the past 15 years. All this in front of shocked tourists.......a great memory to take home with you!

So I don't know what we'll be returning to in a couple of weeks? Perhaps we'll have to fight our way onto the beach through all the clamour of visiting "Visa-on-Arrival" foreigners from the mentioned 5 nations. Has anyone ever met a tourist from Luxembourg in Goa? Now that is one huge nation jam-packed with potential tourists........:rofl::rofl::rofl:
