'cos their ministers, authorities and police are corrupt and incompetent ??!!!

This minister obviously didn't pay attention in geography lessons at school (if he actually went !!) - he refers to the drug problems being in the 'Northern Coastal belt" then refers to Palolem !!! Doh

Dread - e's fick !

So wrong on so many fronts!

We all know all too well about Digambar Kamat & others 'all gangstas eatin poor old Dickie Stagg for breakfast innit' wanting Goa for Goans & we foreign nationals are the "devil's sperm incarnate" for having the temerity to want (for some incomprehensibly stupid reason with the benefit of hindsight) to buy a property in India (Goa), well, according to today's Sunday Times, it seems perfectly acceptable due to a lack of laws, to actually "buy" a baby via a surrogate mother in India.

Now I can't begin to understand the feelings of couples who want a baby, that can't conceive naturally or via IVF - if they can afford it! BUT, the 'process' described in the article accessed by the link below just seems so wrong on so many fronts that I can't begin to talk about ethical & moral aspects etc etc etc.

British group victim of £35m Goa swindle
9 May: Die Welt (Germany). The expected 100 000 visitors to the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi will have to stay in makeshift tents because of the lack of hotel room … This year the British group, Hotel Country India planned to invest more than 40 million euros in a Goa resort. But the deal fell through due to corruption. The sales contracts for the land proved worthless: The title deeds were forged, allegedly with the help of corrupt authorities

"It is learnt that the freedom fighters have a charter of demands pending with government, which reportedly includes providing them with suitable land and government jobs to their children."

I too have a few honourable ancestors who did something and fought in various wars.
I DEMAND LAND AND A GOOD JOB TOO!!! :)
Let's not forget the Geese that saved Rome too.
