Hi Tarkacreek,
Left to what is going on in Goa at the moment for Expats especially at this time of the year,:sneaky: we would have screams of silence, and you must admit that we have to have a laugh sometimes, or we will all go bonkers especially those left in Goa in the Monsoon. :rolleyes:

Live, love, and laugh :wub:

Hands up, banged to rights, guilty as accused?

No, I think not. The article we have been bandying about was in todays newspapers (in Wales.... nowhere does anything say in Goa) and it made a couple of us laugh so much we thought we would share it.

There are some aspects of the article that could be considered offensive, but;

Did you hear about the Irish EXORCISM?
The mother had to call the devil in to get the priest out of her son.
There are times when things do go off topic, but I think cliquey (from the French, clique.....not click or clicky) is a bit strong....a lot of us have known each other for years. After a couple of months membership and a handful of posts that seems a bit judgemental. And where did you get the idea that;

after all this is supposed to be a useful knowledge for expats abroad after all.[
This is an internet discussion forum, not an official Goa database, and whilst it generally offers useful info, general discussion and humour are not prohibited, are they?
Someone said;

Its more quiet than a Candolim beach on this site at the moment, is the low rupee keeing everyone indoors or is everyone in the queue at FEMA or Registry office or in limbo on 2 months out of India...
so there maybe occasions when some of us post things that dont meet your definition of "Relevant" but at least keep the forum alive, Look at some of the other forums, they are dead.

All quotes, with thanks to........yes, Tarkacreek

Hump or no hump we have to have a laugh. Hope the sun shines tomorrow.
getting fed up of the weather. You will find that in to-days papers.

Well as you are in Goa full term no probs, last entry nearer the mark, and if you ever get news on the visa rules, well the sooner the better, as of now no news is bad news.

Absolutely agree with you !!

I keep opening posts presuming it is gonna be useful info, only to find a small group (always the same ones) having a little irrelevant chit chat between themselves. Complete waste of my time, and to make it worse the mod is one of the major players. Even though a Gossip n Chit Chat topic was made available at her suggestion, she still doesnt conform to her own rules. I give up !

In my opinion the majority on here have formed a clique, making it very difficult for newbies to even contemplate joining in. I don't contribute often these days because if you don't feel part of the 'club' then you feel very reluctant to join in. Also most talk is so lightweight and so very much 'off topic'. I used to contribute more so (never massively, but more comfortably) in the Douglas days and he was really scarey, but at least gave useful info.

This site used to be a great source of up to date info. I am not in the least interested in anyones drinking/socialising habits (yawn yawn)...keep that to the social networks. At the moment BE Goa forum is no better than ******* Goan advocates, ie. a pile of ***** :D

Rant over :) Enjoy yourselves, pick holes in what i've said...whatever !!.. not really bovvered !

Bit of a hypocrite there J5...how many times have I seen you moan on here when posts go off topic :eek: And... I've been a member on BE for a goodly while so you can't say that about me :sneaky:

Maybe you dont feel part of the club because you dont join in!! If you dont bother to join in then of course it will be the same posters ;):)

This whole forum is widely respected in forum world. It doesnt have to be 100% factual stuff, it's here for people to enjoy as well.

It doesnt help to come on here criticising individuals on the forum either, if you have a problem on that level then best keep it to pm eh?
