Invent a sport that nobody plays seriously and then claim you're the best in the world. Brilliant.

NFL and CFL I'd agree with that statement.

They are definitely the worst offenders

I'm fairly certain that the whole north american sports suck thing must have been done before on here. Maybe we can find such a thread and attach it to the end of this one; would save us the bother of posting.

Probably one of the dumbest statements ive ever read on here. Not sure if you realize it or not but ALL sports were invented at one time or another? Just because football(what we call soccer) was invented before the North American version of football doesnt mean its an invalid sport. Would love to see all of you all line up with Ray Lewis and see how long that talk lasts.

Anyways not trying to start up an arguement but I find people fear and try to make fun of what they dont understand. There are just completely different sports played in North America as there are in Europe, simple as that. Wouldnt discredit either, there just different.

And anybody who knows or pays much attention to sports would have the mind not to discredit one or the other.

I think you've missed the point - if you're going to appoint a 'World Champion', it surely makes sense to allow the rest of the world compete. The NFL (and other N.American sports) doesn't exactly stand up to scrutiny when compared to true world championships.
