No afraid to go there (have been a few times). I just wouldn't want to live there among the killer wildlife

I feel cheated by Australia. We were in Cairns, Point Trib, and on the south coast. We went snorkeling and swimming. We filled some jerry cans and drove as far inland as they and half a tank of petrol would take us from Cairns. We saw lots of wildlife but nothing bit us. Nothing even menaced us.

On the surface, Australians could be perceived by some as more irritating than Canadians, but to do them justice, they don't believe that ice hockey is the ultimate answer to life, the universe & everything ... plus I still contend that Australia is warmer than most parts of Canada.

Alberta is kind of dry for sharks ... but we do get rattlesnakes, black widows, scorpions, wolves, grizzly bears and cougars ... but they hardly ever kill people.
