Ahhhh the sounds of a peaceful Brisbane evening....possoms rustling about, the wind through the trees, distant traffic, and the student next door who has been playing scales (badly) on the piano for nearly two hours......seems the guy in the house behind us has finally had enough as the phrase "Shut that effing noise up or I'll effing smash the effing thing over your effing head" is now echoing across the hillside Don't think he's very happy!!!!

It had the desired effect anyway, student has stopped playing and gone out so you can keep the kids for now
Nice here at present, its the 3-4 months of the year when its actually cool and pleasant, lulls you into a false sense of security though......

me too, this weather is fab right now, it's so nice to be able to wear jeans and boots again.

Its great isn't it, cool enough to walk home from work without feeling dead on arrival too

Lucky ladies, here we had freak humid weather reminding us of the vile rainy season that has to be endured in June/July. This year will be killer with the elec restrictions...fans let alone air cons may well be stopped in trains etc

Our office just announced the unthinkable - no (unpaid of course) overtime on Wednesdays this summer, so all out by 5.30pm, mind you seeing is believing...

That doesn't sound very Japanese, sending you home that early maybe they will give you all homework?
Don't know much about the Japanese climate I will admit - is it a monsoon type rainy season? Or just constant drizzle?

Totally screwed my mind up though, last week in London in a t shirt in bright sunshine, now I'm sat here in a woolly jumper, thick fluffy socks and slippers and listening to rain falling outside Feels like I'm back home!!! And they say people come here for the warmth and the sunshine ;rofl:

Yeah its wintery now, weather is tolerable for about 4 months It doesn't get too bad here, might drop to single figures if we're lucky - gets colder further inland, and further south. We get the effect of the Pacific here which keeps the coastal strip warmer, plys we don't usually get affected by the winds from the Antarctic, which make it cooler further south.

Its actually 11 degrees here now, 6.30am, coldest its been this year. And remember the houses have no heating, no insulation etc. This place is as cold with the door shut as with it open!!!
