Me:" I'm from Scotland actually..."
Them:"Which is in Ireland, right?"

Bother-in-law (every year - the same conversation for the past 12 yrs):
"Off to Ireland again, huh?"
Me:"No, AGAIN... Scotland..."
BIL:"Oh, same thing..."
Me:"Yes, PHD, you're right - same thing..."

Neighbour: "I didn't know you were 'scotch'" (I don't know why the "scotch" thing drives me mad!)

Oh, and the new pet peeve - when people say: "where you at?" or "where's it at?"

Law makers who think it is a really smart idea to allow students to carry fire arms on campus.

How is this going to reduce campus shootings, really?

But I think I've read that there are all sorts of reasons why the more people in America carry firearms, the better for everyone?

Oh silly me...

Fire all the law enforcement people, and just issue everybody with a firearm when they get their first driving permit at age 15.5 - that will save a bundle of tax payer money, I'm sure...:eek:

Pedestrian crosswalk lights that take forever to change...and then only last a few seconds...

When you're in the car and someone decides to cross the huge road half way through the crosswalk lights 10 second countdown warning.... doubly so when they walk at a snails pace.
